I was raised in South Florida in a town called Stuart and went to college at Florida State University, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management.
I worked in restaurants starting at 15, but at 19 I started my first line cook job at a restaurant called Bonefish Grill in Tallahassee Florida. The confidence, self respect, and tough life lessons I found through this work changed my life.
I kept going with it, and eventually started at Flories, Four Seasons Palm Beach, owned by three Michelin star chef Mauro Colegreco. It was a very special experience and I learned from amazing chefs about fine dining and the food of different cultures, mostly Italian and Mexican.
I jumped ship to Seattle where I worked at Goldfinch Tavern, Four Seasons. There were amazing chefs and cooks and some crazy rushes being right next to Pikes Place Market! I learned more about French and Italian food, working raw bar, garde manger, pasta/sauté, and flat top stations.
I then moved to Suquamish with my partner and worked as a Sous Chef in Bainbridge, made bulk sourdough pizza dough for Sourdough Willys, and obtained my personal chef certification through the USPCA(United States Personal Chef Association)
I am currently working for Chef JJ, Wanderlust Catering on Bainbridge Island doing weddings this summer and accepting personal chef requests.
I love my cat Hoshi, hiking, camping, nature, dancing, volleyball, reading, traveling, my partner and my family.
This means that whatever your food preferences are will considered in a thoughful approach. Nothing is strange to me. You really like ketchup? I know a Japanese spaghetti you'd love. You hate onions? You'll never see them. You love soul food but want to minimize calories? I have an airfryer and other ways of adding creaminess. Anything you throw at me I'll enjoy finding ways to succeed
This is also the approach for creating an air of comfort and calmness to your area. As a personal chef I am entering your home, and I am using mindfulness to determine the ways in which to elevate peace for you.
